Insurance Claims Investigations

Insurance claims investigations assess whether a claim accurately reflects the facts of an incident and the terms of the policy. The goal is to protect both the insured and the insurer — ensuring that legitimate claims are paid fairly and promptly, and that fraudulent or exaggerated claims are identified before they cost the insurer unnecessarily.

The investigation process typically includes interviews with the claimant and relevant third parties, a review of documentation related to the claim, and a review of the policy terms themselves. Investigators may also review medical records, financial documents, and other supporting evidence to confirm that the claim is accurate and consistent.

In Ontario, this type of investigative work must be conducted by a licensed private investigator under the Private Security and Investigative Services Act, 2005 (PSISA). Investigation Solution Services conducts every claims investigation within this legal framework, ensuring the evidence gathered is credible, properly documented, and usable in a legal or adjustment context.

With over 20 years of investigative experience and 2,000+ investigations completed, Investigation Solution Services helps insurance adjusters, corporate clients, and legal teams make informed, fair decisions on claims — backed by facts, not assumptions.
